If you are racing on a budget, and you need to replace your worn out HEI distributor, this is your best option! This is the best price/perfromance distributor we have tested.

Oval track racing using an HEI distributer in two forms: 1. Using a cap mounted coil (6700+ RPM operation or 9000+ RPM operation) you need only mount the coil. For best reliability and performance you should use a 15 volt battery or alternator, when using the internal module.

2. Using an external coil adapter, ignition box and coil. (Usualy you can remove the internal module for maximum RPM.)

We have experienced better reliability using an EXTERNAL coil, that will withstand the heat & vibration of racing!

New distributor base with steel gear and mechanical advance for better starter and flywheel life.
